The purpose of this FAQ page is to provide answers to commonly asked questions. Currently, this section provides useful information about nursing home admissions, transfer and discharge rights as well as information on the right to readmission from the hospital or therapeutic leave. There are plans to expand this section to include questions and answers involving other long term care settings as well. If you cannot find an answer for the question you have, please contact your Long-Term Care Ombudsman.
